OK I am
driving down I70 and see that there is a national park
just a few minutes off the highway. If you have ever
driven on this stretch of road, you know how beautiful
it is. So, I turned off the interstate to go check out
the park. The park is an pallet of colors on the tall
walled canyons. |

At the
Visitor Center, there is a graded road that winds its
way deep into the park. This road will take you into
tight canyons. It is like driving into the bottom of
the Grand Canyon. You have got to get out of your
vehicle and just walk around in a jagged wonderland of
color.

Ate
dinner at Cafe Diablo in Torrey. Kind of upscale
Mexican food - not like any other Mexican restaurant
that I have been to. The chef knows what he is doing
and everything was delectable.

I stayed over night
in the Howard Johnson's in Torrey. Just like every
other HoJo very comfortable and friendly.
